Blatta Orientalis: Blatta is a suitable remedy for Asthma. Blatta is usually indicated when associated with allergic bronchitis. It acts best in stout and corpulent patients. There is cough with dyspnea in bronchitis. Patients are worse during rainy season. There is pus like mucus and threatened suffocation. Asthma is usually associated with bronchitis, cough, dyspnea or phthisis. There is purulent, tough, viscid yellow colored expectoration.

Quebracho: Quebracho (Aspidosperma) is useful remedy for asthma. It is commonly called as digitalis of lungs as it removes the temporary obstruction to the oxidation of blood by stimulating the respiratory centres. Quebracho helps in increasing oxygen in the blood and excreting carbonic acid. The guiding symptom of this remedy is " want of breath" or shortness of breath. This is commonly seen in cardiac asthma. The patient is not able to breathe on exertion.

Directions: Adults: Take 4-5 pellets or tablets orally by mouth and allow them to dissolve on tongue. Repeat at least 3 times a day, about 30 minutes before or after food. Similarly take the second remedy after a gap of 30 minutes, make sure to remember the sequence. Children: Half of the adult dose.
